Avinor is a wholly-owned state limited company under the Norwegian Ministry of Transport and Communications and is responsible for 46 state-owned airports, included Stavanger airport Sola. The primary sources of income are fees from airliners/passengers and commercial revenue from rental of space to tax-free shops, cafés and restaurants, and other services for passengers.

Every summer thousands of passengers are departing/landing from Sola within a very short period of time – charter flights departing for better climate in the south (in Norwegian called “Syden”) concentrated in time.

How can Sola receive their passengers in the best possible way and make the flight a little easier? Both experienced and inexperienced passenger, young families or large groups of friends going for vacation via the airport?

Let your summer destination start at the airport! The passengers got their own check-in and luggage submission, their own signposts and airportmaps – and even their own “VIP-lounge”, with entertainment, activities and an Mediterranean mood included!
